Christmas, Wherever You Go
The Travelling Christmas Tree began with a family Christmas, a holiday somewhere warm… and one dad realising that sunshine alone doesn’t make it feel like Christmas.
Years ago, Andrew took his children away over the festive season. On paper, it sounded perfect: escape the winter weather, enjoy some sunshine and spend Christmas somewhere completely different.
There was just one problem.
It didn’t really feel like Christmas.
There was no tree. No familiar glow of Christmas lights. None of that little bit of festive magic that somehow makes December feel different from every other month of the year.
So, on Christmas Eve, Andrew decided to do something about it.
The Christmas Eve That Started It All
With no traditional tree available, Andrew made his own Christmas tree to put on the wall.
It was simple. It was improvised. But it did exactly what he hoped it would do.
Suddenly, it felt more like Christmas.
That homemade tree planted an idea that Andrew never quite forgot.
Over the years there were prototypes, different designs, plenty of tinkering and more than a few versions of the tree. It became one of those ideas he kept coming back to because the problem it solved was so simple:
How do you create the feeling of Christmas when a traditional tree just isn’t practical?
Eventually, after years of thinking, designing and refining, The Travelling Christmas Tree became a reality.
A Love of Christmas. Without All the Faff.
Andrew is, by his own admission, a bit of a Christmas addict.
He loves the lights, the decorating, the traditions and the feeling that comes with putting the tree up.
What he doesn’t believe is that creating that feeling should have to involve hauling an enormous box out of the loft, rearranging half the living room or spending an evening wrestling with tangled lights.
So The Travelling Christmas Tree was designed to make Christmas simpler.
It hangs against the wall, so it doesn’t steal your floor space.
The warm white lights are already fitted.
The felt decorations are easy to add, move and rearrange.
And when Christmas is over, the whole thing folds away neatly into its own storage bag, ready to come back out next year.
Big on Christmas. Small on faff.
Not Just for Travelling
The first tree might have been created because Andrew was away from home, but we soon realised there are all sorts of reasons why someone might want Christmas without a traditional tree.
Maybe you live somewhere smaller and don’t want to lose precious floor space for a month.
Perhaps you want a second tree for a child’s bedroom, guest room or another part of the house.
You might be spending Christmas in a holiday cottage, apartment or away visiting family.
A traditional tree might simply be too much work this year.
Or perhaps you just really, really love Christmas and think one tree is never enough.
Whatever the reason, The Travelling Christmas Tree is designed to bring a little festive magic wherever you need it.

Make Christmas Your Own
We also wanted your tree to be something you could have fun with.
Every Travelling Christmas Tree comes with reusable felt snowflakes, but that’s only the beginning.
Our additional decoration collections let you change the look of your tree, add more personality or even transform the whole thing into a reusable Advent calendar.
The idea is simple: use the same tree year after year, but make Christmas look and feel a little different whenever you want to.
Because traditions are lovely.
But creating new ones can be pretty special too.
Our First Christmas
Christmas 2026 marks a rather special milestone for us: the very first official Christmas for The Travelling Christmas Tree.
After years of ideas, prototypes and dreaming about what this product could become, our first limited production run is finally here.
And while the tree itself has travelled quite a journey to get to this point, the idea behind it hasn’t really changed since that first Christmas Eve:
Wherever you are, Christmas should still feel like Christmas.
We hope your Travelling Christmas Tree brings a little more festive magic to your home — and perhaps becomes part of your own Christmas traditions for many years to come.
Merry Christmas,
Andrew & The Travelling Christmas Tree team
